Celebrate Galentine’s with a mahjong girls’ night out! Join us for mahjong open play night in Maypop’s beautiful greenhouse. Gather your gals or come solo and meet new people! Everything you need to play—beautiful mahjong tiles, accessories, and NMJL cards—will be provided, so you can just show up and have fun. New cards, including The Big Card, The Mahjong Press, and the International Mahjong Card, will also be available to try. If you’re newer to the game, Magpie Mahjong instructor Ali Salter will be on hand to offer guidance and tips as needed. All levels welcome but there is not instruction during this event; open play is for players who have completed a 101 lesson or have mahjong playing experience.
