Magpie Mahjong & Tower Grove Park’s Mahjong Mondays concludes with a special open play event at the beautiful, historic Piper Palm House. Meet Me at Mahj is Magpie’s signature mahjong open play night with everything you need to play—beautiful mahjong tiles, accessories, and NMJL cards—provided, so you can just show up and have fun. Attend with friends or come alone and meet new mahj friends!
Drinks will be available for purchase from STL Barkeep, the team behind The Vandy and Off Elm. You’re welcome to bring your own tile-friendly snacks.
Come early and shop female-owned businesses, including permanent jewelry and a charm bar from Studio Magnolia.
All levels welcome but there is not instruction during this event; open play is for players who have completed a 101 lesson or have mahjong playing experience. If you’re newer to the game, especially if you’re fresh off a Magpie 101 or 102, instructor Ali Salter will be on hand to guide you and offer tips as needed.
Doors Open: 6:30 p.m.
Open Play: 7 - 9 p.m.
