St. Louis Summer Mahjong League - Hosted by Magpie Mahjong & Crema Coffeehouse
Mahjong league is back! Join us Tuesday nights this June for Summer Mahjong League, a four-week American mahjong league intended for beginner-friendly competition, social play, and community. Each week, play on luxe tiles and mats in a beautiful space. You’ll be assigned to a new table weekly to experience new tiles and new friendly competition. Compete for fabulous mahjong prizes for the top three finishers—including a mahjong tile set for the grand prize (details to come!). If you know how to play mahjong independently, you’re ready for league!
Dates: June 2, June 9, June 16 & June 23
Play time: 7 to 9 p.m. - Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
National Mah Jongg League rules (no blanks) using the 2026 NMJL card
2 hours of play each week
Beginner-friendly simplified scoring
Compete for high-end mahjong prizes, including a mahjong tile set!
Crema Coffeehouse drinks and food available for purchase
Prefer wine with your mahj? You’re welcome to BYOB a stiffer drink.
The league rules, including FAQs, will be distributed in the weeks leading up to the start of the league. This is a straightforward, non-intimidating league for social mahjong play.
Location: The ballroom inside the Era Collective building (home of Crema Coffeehouse), 275 Union Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63108
Due to limited space, all sales are final and no refunds will be processed.
